This movie is so cheesy. Its at least a role reversal where the woman kidnaps the man. Perfect family, with the black sheep who just doesn't fit in with the rest. They go to extremes when they take away all car keys and phones on the family vacation. Maybe in 2007 that would be fine, but I doubt any person would be fine with not having any technology for multiple days. Theres maybe some lessons to learn in the movie, like don't work a job you hate maybe? It is entertaining with all sorts of stupidity, but probably couldn't watch more than once a year.

I feel so bad for the kids, and the cat, and the dog, and the squirrel. Everyone really. Except the neighbors. They are pretty obnoxious. People do like the 'insert item here' of the month clubs though, so maybe a jelly of the month club would be welcomed now? It is a classic christmas movie, and enjoyable to watch for all the fun moments. Pretty quotable too. I would be able to watch it a few times during Christmas for sure.

After eating a whole bunch of food and traveling back home, it was time to watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. As usual, lots of funny scenes and stressful moments throughout the whole movie. I do like that Del can sell shower curtain rings to anyone. I wonder how he would be doing if he was selling anything else? Why when the train broke down were they all made to walk so far to get to the next town? 

The plane ticket at the beginning says takeoff 6, arrival 6:45. So back in the before days it used to be a 1:45 flight?

 Also, what happened to the guy that took the 8pm flight in the beginning? Did he make it home OK on the first day?
